A short session can have a clear purpose. Choose one phrase and one thing you want to improve. Keep both small enough that you can hear the difference.

Minutes 1–2: settle into your sound

Play a few short, comfortable notes on Sa. Listen to the beginning and end of each note. Let your shoulders stay relaxed and take an easy breath between attempts. You are finding a sound you can repeat.

Minutes 3–4: listen before playing

Open the practice page and choose the starter phrase or your own MIDI melody. Listen to one line. Speak or sing the swaras back to yourself, then listen again. If the file has several parts, choose the melody you want to learn.

Minutes 5–8: work on one passage

Start at half speed. Play a short part of the line, pause, and try it again. Click its first note on the score to return to it. Work on one issue: a clean change between notes, a steady held note, or the rhythm of the phrase.

If half speed still feels rushed, try a quarter speed. Increase it only when the phrase feels manageable.

Minutes 9–10: play from memory

Pause the reference sound and play the phrase once on your own. Write down one thing that became easier and one thing to practise next time. That note gives tomorrow’s session a starting point.

Open the practice workspace. If producing a clear sound is still new, begin with Bansuri basics.
