FIRST, YOUR FLUTE

What scale is your bansuri?

Choose the note you play as Sa. The tune’s sound and note feedback will match your flute.

Use the letter written on your flute. The number tells us its octave.

Not sure? Find my scale can listen to your Sa.

The microphone turns on only when you ask. Your audio stays on this device.

A LITTLE PRACTICE. ONE NOTE AT A TIME.

Let’s play your first notes.

Start with a short tune. Hear it first, then follow the notes with your flute.

Speed & sound
Flute, key & notation Melody, Sa & range

One melody is derived from the highest note at each onset. Listen to check the right part.

Choose the pitch you actually use as Sa, including its octave.

Swara names stay relative to your melody’s Sa.

Range, notation & difficulty

Range is your comfortable range. No notes are folded into another octave automatically.

Repeat a manageable passage A–B loop & breath pause

Adjust while paused. Selecting a range stays silent until Start. Perform records one complete melody.

Microphone settings Optional for listening

Play one clear note at a time. No audio is recorded or uploaded.

Live pitch—Play a comfortable Sa

Accept only a stable Sa that matches your selected note and octave. This adjusts tuning by at most 50 cents.

Check without playing: if the input responds to the reference alone, mute the reference or improve headphone isolation before trusting feedback.

Manual timing calibration

Pitch feedback works without timing calibration. Use a measured offset for this device; positive means your input arrives late.

Changing microphones invalidates calibration. A guess cannot establish accurate entrance timing.

Score & reading options

Higher notes sit higher. A long note means a long sound. A green result and ✓ appear only when microphone input supports a match.

Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha and Ni are written S, R, G, M, P, D and N in compact notation. A dot before a note means a lower octave; a mark after it means a higher octave.
